Howdy everybody!
It sure was great to see almost everyone this weekend. It's always fun when our family gets together, because there are just so many people to talk to. And, you should all know, Jana had a GREAT time with everyone. And, she asked me to post on the blog the fact that SHE JUST ATE TACO BELL TODAY. She ordered a chalupa and a soft taco; apparently, all of our talk about TB endowed her with a hankering for some authentic Mexican food. So it looks like she's been officially initiated.
Congratulations, Jana, welcome to the TB club! Was it just so delicious? Agreed, it was so fun to see so many of you!
ReplyDeleteThe genius of taco bell is that you just have a few ingredients and they are able to make so many different dishes simply by combining them and layering them differently. My standard staple meal is the double decker, 7-layer burrito, and a pinto's and cheese. The mexican pizza is a good one too, but kind of a gamble--sometimes it turns out great but if you tip it over before you take it out of the box, or if the bean batch was newly rehydrated it comes out soggy. Last night I had a soggy pizza and a steak enchirito (first time). Again, it was basically the same ingredients, but with the enchirito they put the red sauce on the outside. It's the right food for the right price. Bela tried the chicken fiesta burrito. I think it will be a while before I can get her to try something new there again.
