Eliason Family Taco Bell Challenge

Hey Everybody -

I am issuing a challenge for the week. Jana sent me a text on Monday, saying that she was craving Taco Bell, and then she went and bought it. Paul then proceeded to text me today, and he was eating Taco Bell for lunch! So the challenge has begun, and it is as follows: can we get an Eliason to eat Taco Bell every day this week? The challenge is on, and the goal is to have all of us eat there, and then post (and if possible, post a picture) about your Taco Bell experience.

If that doesn't bring the family closer together, who knows what will!

Mark

  1. Guess what? There is actually a Taco Bell here in Williams. So if I get real hungry....

  2. Betraying as it sounds, I actually went to a Taco John's yesterday. Be assured that the trip was not under my own volition, and the whole time I was there I could only think of how much better Taco Bell would taste. Hopefully next time, I can be true to my heart.

  3. I'd just like to say: I went to Taco Bell on Thursday night. And I forgot how sick it makes me feel. I always overeat there, and I always feel like garbage. The trick is to only eat there once in a while, and then only order like one thing from the menu. My seven layer burrito was 90% hot bland beans and cheese - which when you're hoping for spicy rice and sour cream and guacamole, is a bit disappointing.

  4. What happened to the comment I posted? Taco Bell rules. 7-layer burrito and double decker are the best. Seemingly infinite combinations of a very finite number of ingredients. Everything depends on the care of the burriteros (burrito makers) and how long the beans have been in the pot (the older the better). Bela and I brought some home on thursday and almost choked on a chicken fiesta burrito because it was so disagreeable to her and I'm going to have a hard time getting her to try something new. She likes the chicken quesadillas and the pinto's + cheese ok, though.

  5. I agree with Mark. I finally went to Taco Bell so I could share this experience with all of you. I got a Burrito Supreme which I seemed to remember we used to get quite often. It seemed like a tortilla filled with runny refried beans--which kept escaping onto my shirt. I was disappointed and I feel like I ate something heavy. We will probably still stop there when traveling--unless there is a Burger King. Clair likes a Whopper now and then.

  6. Oh, this is quite the coinc.
I ate at Taco Bell this saturday, unaware of this challenge. I do not go regularly; it was a spur of the moment decision, maybe even a prompting. What I do love about that place is I can get a sizeable beef burrito for 99 cents. Mmmm. A poor beef-loving student's dream.
