Baby Isaac

Hey! Here's Jon and Tiffany's new baby, Isaac! As you can see, he's clearly an Eliason as he is blessed with the prominent jaw and our glorious double-chin.

The Eliasons and Taco Bell

Hey everyone,

I had a funny experience this weekend. On Saturday, Steve, Jana, and I met up and went to the Cougareat at BYU. I had been tell Jana all afternoon about how much I was craving Taco Bell. Then we met up with Steve, and I said, "Hey! Do you want to go with Jana and I and get some Taco Bell real quick?" To which Steve quickly replied, "I just ate a little while ago. And it was at Taco Bell!"

So this got me thinking about the family, and whether or not we have an affinity to Taco Bell, because now Jana is convinced that we do. (So, if you guys want to play a joke on her, when she comes for Ben's sealing, just keep bringing up how much you love Taco Bell.) I thought I should get some real data on the situation. What I'm asking, is that some time this week, you post a comment on here, revealing to the family if you really like Taco Bell or not. I will admit right now that I do like Taco Bell, but I try to limit my eating there. So let us know - that way, we know where to go for the next family reunion! Hey everyone. Something I've been interested in doing for the last year or two is hiking the Appalacian trail. This is a trail that extends from Maine to Georgia. It is over 1000 miles long. I have pretty much decided I want to hike that whole trail before I die. I would like to know if any family members would be interested in hiking portions of this trail with me during summers. Eventually we could complete the whole trail (like maybe in 20 years). It would be a good chance for families to spend time together, etc. Anyone I want to find out who is interested so I can start planning for this.

greetings from Jennifer

Greetings from the Stevenjenny branch of the Durfy Dude Ranch. I think it's funny how we all look so much more comfortable in the Durfy family photo than in the nicey-nice ones. Except, Mom and Dad seem to be having trouble looking Durfy. One question I have often puzzled over is this: why is the durf factor so strong in the combined genes of these two relatively durfless people? (Multiple alleles maybe?)

Jake leaves for the BYU (as I remember hearing Grandpa Brown refer to it) this week. Paul, please take some time to de-bunk all the dating advice that Steve has given to Jake. (The last I heard he was telling Jake to buy some really tight pants and to perm his hair).

We're really excited to see some of you in the temple in Boise on September 12th. Steve and I went to the temple last Friday (we go to Louisville, which is about 1.5 hrs away), and I've been thinking all week-end about how wonderful it will be to be with some of you the next time we go.

Love,
Jennifer

Blog Blastoff!

Okay everyone - here's the deal: this is our official blog. It is not necessarily complete; I will be continually updating this as I learn more and more about utilizing this blogging tool. But until then, the posts will work as follows: anyone can post whatever they would like to update the family whenever they want. In addition, I will be soliciting regular posts from you guys to be able to keep the blog up-to-date. So, start a-posting, and keep on rocking in the free world!
